About Okimasa Tsukamoto
Okimasa Tsukamoto is my great-uncle. He was the one of the greatest swordsmith who won the many prizes about the sword in the early 1990’s.(Showa period)
He made the Japanese sword for dedication to the Ise Shrine(Ise Jingu) by a request from the Imperial Household Agency. He also did the maintenance of the sacred sword which were stored in the Ise Shrine with his 4 brothers including my grandfather, Seiji Tsukamoto.
*The Ise Grand Shrine, located in the city of Ise, Mie Prefecture of Japan, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. One of the best shrine to visit in Japan.
